This subtle, profound and powerful series of practises , devised by Swami Satyananda (founder of the Bihar School of Yoga in Northern India) works with all the joints in the body and is suitable for anyone from complete beginners to experienced aspirants. It keeps joints strong , flexible and mobile and is very useful when vigorous exercise is not advised. It improves co-ordination, self confidence and self awareness.

Home practice notes for students: Rest after two or three practices, sit quietly with the eyes closed, with awareness on the breath, the parts of the body that have been moved and on any sensations, thoughts or feelings that are experienced.

This set of practices, learned from an experienced teacher, can be used as a toolkit for home practice. Over time they can be built upon and developed so that they reflect your particular needs.
